Finnish early childhood education and care, ECEC, is about children and their wellbeing, growth and learning as well as cooperation in an empowering and thriving community. The purpose of this book is to help understand what is central to Finnish ECEC pedagogy and its operational or community culture. This book is aimed at the whole ECEC personnel, trainers, researchers and other experts, as well as everyone interested in ECEC, such as parents and other interested in the life of young children. It is suitable as a textbook at various levels of teaching in ECEC. It can also be used for supplementary education.
